Sunday Short Story Time 🧿 March 2021 (picture on the right) Visas for the UK were expiring, with no jobs in sight. One of the toughest times in my life as it felt like a failure. Lots of people projecting their ideas onto me on what my life should look like - “you should go home and get married” OR “it’s really hard to find a job in the UK as an international student - you should lower your expectations and try for more reasonable countries”. March 2022 (picture on the left) Just celebrated a fantastic trip to #Edinburgh (that’s me summiting Arthur’s Seat in the picture) and met my team of 6 months. An incredibly #specialist team (with very few people globally having the skills we do) with projects nationally and internationally. A team that is part of one of the top-performing #global #consultancies in the world (Mott MacDonald). And guess what - BASED IN THE UK! *TAKE AWAY POINT* - People will always try trap your bold brave big ambitions with their current reality and limited thinking patterns.
