From April 2027, rent convergence will begin, starting at £1 per week and rising to £2 per week from April 2028. Daisy Armstrong, Southern Housing resident Board member and Chair of the G15 Residents' Group, shares her perspective. Her blog explains what rent convergence means, why it matters and what residents need to know: “The current rent system can feel confusing, with neighbours in identical homes often paying different rents.
