Better late than never, a few weeks back we reached an exciting milestone at Sunday Creek, completing our box cut blast to progress our exploration decline tunnel! What is a box cut blast? A box cut is the excavated entrance to an underground exploration tunnel. Where rock is too hard to excavate by other means, controlled blasting is used to do the job safely and efficiently.
