Meet Isabel Kann, a Swedesburg, Iowa, native studying mechanical engineering at South Dakota State University. Focused on machine design and problem-solving, she is drawn to the technical side of engineering, building, analyzing and understanding how things work. A member of the Iowa Air National Guard, Isabel found her path in service and leadership through #ROTC, where she has stepped outside her comfort zone and grown through hands-on experiences. At #SDState, she is involved across campus, building connections and applying what she learns in real-world ways. After graduation, Isabel plans to commission as an Air Force officer, with goals of becoming a pilot or engineer while continuing to be part of something bigger than herself. ✈️
