Assistant Manager- Plant Engineering/mould/tooling/projects

Tool Room To justify this we must be master in all below points. A person from tool & die making background can only justify all this critical technical fluency. 1. Press Shop Management Manage all press shop operations involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and transfer presses. Ensure achievement of production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules. Optimize press utilization and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Monitor die performance and reduce breakdowns. Improve productivity through cycle time reduction and process optimization. Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Kaizen initiatives.  2. Mould Shop Management Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of injection moulds, blow moulds, and compression moulds. Ensure mould availability for uninterrupted production. Analyze mould failures and implement corrective actions. Coordinate mould trials and validation activities. Improve mould life and reduce maintenance costs.  3. Tool Room Operations Lead tool room activities including: Tool design review Die manufacturing Tool modification Jigs and fixture development Prototype tooling Tool refurbishment Ensure timely availability of tools for production and new projects. Manage CNC machining, EDM, Wire Cut, Grinding, Milling, Turning, and other tool room processes.  4. Die & Tool Maintenance Establish preventive and predictive maintenance systems. Develop die maintenance schedules. Reduce die changeover time through SMED practices. Maintain tooling history and lifecycle records. Ensure availability of critical spares.  5. New Product Development (NPD) Participate in APQP, PPAP, and product development activities. Coordinate with Design, R&D, Quality, and Production teams. Support new die and mould development projects. Conduct feasibility studies for new tooling requirements. Lead tool try-outs and production validation 6. Cost Optimization & Productivity Improvement Identify cost reduction opportunities in tooling and manufacturing processes. Improve material yield and reduce scrap generation. Drive value engineering and localization initiatives. Implement automation wherever feasible.    7. Quality & Compliance Ensure compliance with: IATF 16949 ISO 9001 ISO 14001 Safety Standards Lead root cause analysis using: 8D Why-Why Analysis Fishbone Diagram FMEA Ensure zero customer complaints arising from tooling issues.  Press Shop Progressive Dies Transfer Dies Tandem Dies Deep Drawing Tools Fine Blanking Processes Sheet Metal Forming    Mould Shop Injection Moulds Blow Moulds Compression Moulds Hot Runner Systems Mould Flow Understanding  Tool Room CNC Machining Centers Wire EDM EDM Surface Grinding Cylindrical Grinding Milling & Turning   Quality Tools APQP PPAP FMEA SPC MSA Control Plans 8D Problem Solving   Software Knowledge AutoCAD CATIA Solid Works NX CREO Tool Design Software But all together you can talk in any technical forum.
