#mytoronto #mycanada. I have a lot to learn. Like I’ve had to learn who I was to me, I now have to figure out what Canada is to me and has been for those before me. My next year is going to be about this. I love doing homework. It is just about the best thing: how exciting to learn something new, a new way of seeing? I may appear in jest, and I could be. I could be a homeless, or unhoused, and addicted being. I have been. For reasons I could not have foreseen but looking back were somewhat inevitable, and because I was addicted to being useful. You learn by being a masterful person’s instrument; you then learn even more by being a safeguard while being a novice’s instrument. And, the roles can calcify. We become fossils of our learning. Then what? I am writing and playing and walking my way out. My dream was to become a sweeper of the same street and to maybe write small stories. I was plucked and placed amidst the girls before the altar. My teachers, wisened through their own mistakes, kept me safe. I was raised by a series of grandparents and aunts. It is so true. I do not wish to go too fast. My old cello prof in the New England is losing his hearing. He is also a mathematician, and a father to continents of musicians, especially cellists. He, like the other wise teachers, tried to show me how he tried to live his values. Do I sound fancy, like I have time on my hands to talk about some useless trivia? Perhaps to you. For me, music is never a hobby. It is the clearest mirror of what I am and sense. I won’t beg your audience. Only those who want to listen and see are invited. Yes; I reserve my right to opacity for reasons I do not feel the sole authority to share. These are my #adminchat musings. Are you listening, Chad? #roleofnoise #catchme
