This week, we were utterly delighted to welcome Lowell Wang to the Somnus Sleep Wellness family! Lowell has joined us as Head of Programmes, and will be leading the charge in rolling out Slumbr classes to our partner organisations, and starting their employees and members on the road to more satisfying sleep. By way of getting-to-know-you, we asked Lowell a few probing questions, and here's what she had to say! ❓ What drew you to Somnus and the mission of improving sleep at scale? 💡 Sleep is the most powerful lever for performance and wellbeing. Yet it is the most neglected and easiest to sacrifice for most of us. What drew me to Somnus is the focus on turning science into something people can actually apply in real life. Not just awareness, but real behaviour change that sticks. ❓ In your view, what does a truly great wellness programme look like in practice? 💡 A great programme doesn’t just inform; it changes behaviour. It has to be practical, repeatable, and easy to adopt in real life. If it doesn’t fit into daily routines, it won’t last. For me, it’s about designing for sustained change, not just one-off engagement. ❓ You’re leading the rollout of Slumbr at Virgin Active Singapore — what excites you most about bringing this to life? 💡 Taking sleep out of theory and into real life. At Virgin Active Singapore, we are not just talking about sleep. We are embedding it into a lifestyle where people already care about their health. It is about building that natural ecosystem, where real change happens. ❓ Outside of work, what’s one habit or ritual that helps you stay grounded or well-rested? 💡 Honestly… nothing beats sleep. This is when the body does its natural repair, and the mind resets. Sometimes… the best way to deal with things… is to sleep on it.
