SOLUM takes a step into the Middle East EV charging ecosystem with a PoC project in Qatar SOLUM has secured a Proof of Concept (PoC) project with Qatar’s public authority, marking its entry into the Middle East EV charging infrastructure market. In collaboration with EV charger manufacturer 채비, a 180kW fast charger equipped with SOLUM’s high-efficiency 30kW power module will be deployed. The system is scheduled to arrive in Qatar in early July, where on-site validation will begin. This project is recognized as the first participation of a Korean EV charging-related company in a public-sector PoC led by Qatar’s authority. Through this initiative, SOLUM aims to validate the performance and durability of its power modules under demanding environmental conditions, including extreme heat and dust. With support from local partner VIM Automotive, SOLUM continues to strengthen its access to infrastructure projects across both public and private sectors in Qatar. Qatar is actively advancing its EV infrastructure under its National Vision 2030, accelerating the electrification of public transportation and the expansion of charging networks.
