Uniper Signs Landmark Renewable Ammonia Offtake Deal with AM Green Ammonia, Paving India-Europe Green Hydrogen Corridor Uniper Global Commodities SE and AM Green Ammonia India Private Limited (AM Green Ammonia) have signed a long-term binding offtake agreement for renewable ammonia certified as a Renewable Fuel of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO). The deal, the first of its kind for an Indian company, was formalized in the presence of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under the agreement, Uniper will offtake up to 500,000 tons per year from AM Green’s green ammonia projects, with the first shipment expected in 2028 from AM Green’s 1 MTPA plant under construction in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.
