It’s with a very heavy heart that I share news I never imagined having to write. This is my first LinkedIn post in a very long time, and sadly it is to announce that our friend and colleague, Alan Bullock, passed away last weekend after facing the return of a familiar and long‑fought illness. Alan was many things to many people: a trusted friend, an exceptional colleague, and a mentor whose guidance shaped countless careers (mine included). His positivity, calm strength, and unwavering generosity leave a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. We will miss him deeply. I know Alan built an enormous network of friends and colleagues throughout his long career, far beyond those I personally know. For that reason, I wanted to share this news here so that those who worked with him, learned from him, or simply enjoyed his company are aware.
