After nearly two and a half years with the NATO Association of Canada, my time here is coming to a close - and I'm leaving with more than I came with. I joined NAOC in 2023 as a Junior Research Fellow. During my time as a JRF, I published four pieces I'm proud of: 📄 Canada on Thin Ice: Securing Arctic Sovereignty 📄 The Geopolitical Ramifications of Cyber Attacks on Canadian Energy Grids 📄 Copyright as Security: Lesson's from Denmark's Approach to Deepfakes 📄 Special Report: Iran, Russia & Hybrid Warfare Influence Operations In 2025, I transitioned into the Event Coordinator role - and the work got bigger. I spearheaded the Halloween media campaign, co-hosted the International Women's Day panel, and led the full planning for the upcoming Defence Conference alongside the exceptional Alishba Noman - laying the groundwork for an event I genuinely cannot wait to see come to life this fall. Along the way, I had moments I won't forget: 🔹 Meeting Honourable Bill Blair & Lt. Melanie Lake 🔹 Sitting across from Ambassador Margriet Vonno 🔹 Stepping aboard HMCS Margaret Brooke 🔹 Attending The National Club's Diplomatic Anchors Conference 🔹 Participating in the Canada-Latvia Parliamentary Event 🔹 Coordinating the International Women’s Day Panel 🔹 Representing NAOC At Deloitte’s Northern Arctic Summit 🔹 The NAOC Gala - a reminder of why this work matters A special thank you to Robert Baines, Bogdana Torbina, and Lana Kharlip, MPA for the opportunity to be part of NAOC. A big thanks to Alexandre Delafosse, my team lead, for his guidance and support throughout my time at NAOC. To every colleague I had the pleasure of working alongside: it was a genuine privilege. NAOC attracts people who care deeply about this work, and that energy stays with you. On to the next chapter - the work continues. 🇨🇦 #NATO #NAOC #NATOAssociationofCanada #PublicAffairs #Policy #GovernmentRelations #GlobalAffairs #Internship #Toronto #WomenInLeadership
