I had the opportunity to represent the NATO Association of Canada at the Arctic and Northern Summit hosted by Deloitte last week: an important conversation on the future of Canada’s North. Leaders from government, industry, and the policy community came together to discuss the evolving strategic importance of the Arctic. The discussions reinforced just how vital the region is to Canada’s sovereignty, security, and long-term national interests. It was a privilege to hear thoughtful perspectives from across sectors and to engage in dialogue on the challenges and opportunities shaping the Arctic today. A sincere thank you to Deloitte for hosting such a meaningful first Arctic Summit. Creating spaces like this for dialogue and collaboration is essential, and it was encouraging to see such strong engagement throughout.
