The Software Competence Center Hagenberg is setting the course for the future with a key personnel change: Univ.-Prof. Dr. Rick Rabiser has taken on the role of Scientific Director (CSO) and, together with Mag. Markus Manz (CEO), now forms the new dual leadership of the internationally recognized COMET research center. Dr. Rabiser succeeds Univ.-Prof. Dr. Robert Wille, who now teaches and conducts research at the Technische Universität München. However, Wille continues to actively support SCCH as Scientific Director for #Quantum Computing. “I look forward to working with SCCH’s excellent researchers to further strengthen top-level research and set new impulses,” says Rabiser. Interdisciplinary collaboration is particularly important to him: “Only by combining expertise from different fields – especially software engineering and artificial intelligence, but also emerging areas like quantum computing – can we tackle future challenges. The interaction between humans and AI agents will define our everyday lives. At SCCH, we want to promote research-driven innovations to address current challenges and crises,” Rabiser explains.
