Equinor has shipped the 5,000th crude cargo from the Gullfaks field, marking nearly 40 years of production from one of the Norwegian Continental Shelf’s longest-producing assets. 🚢🛢️ Originally expected to produce until 2007, Gullfaks has delivered around 2.8 billion BOE to date and continues to supply Europe with sweet, low-sulfur crude through ongoing investment, improved recovery, and extended field life.
