SNOOPY #WG2 Meeting | Successfully Concluded University of Nottingham, UK 19–20 January 2026 The SNOOPY COST ACTION CA 23111 Working Group 2 meeting was successfully concluded, bringing together researchers from across Europe to exchange ideas on the production, characterisation, and evaluation of bioactive peptides and peptide nanostructures. The meeting was organised and led by Nick Mitchell (University of Nottingham) and Jacek Wychowaniec (AO Research Institute Davos (ARI)), WG2 leaders of the Action, together with Ivan R Sasselli, Paula Gomes, Marta De Zotti, Goran Mausa, and Daniela Kalafatovic. In the welcome address, Professor Sir Martyn Poliakoff (University of Nottingham) highlighted the central importance of collaboration in advancing scientific research. The scientific programme featured contributions from internationally recognised researchers including Alvaro Mata, Sébastien Perrier, Ian Hamley, Lihi Adler-Abramovich 🎗️, Silvia Marchesan, and Alberto Saiani. In addition, the meeting was honoured to host Professor Fernando Albericio, whose lecture reflected his seminal role in shaping modern peptide chemistry and whose presence was particularly inspiring for the community. A dedicated industry–academia exchange session further enriched the meeting, with contributions from Oliver Reimann (Intavis), James Krupa (CatSci), and Antonio Ricci (Kabi Pharma), offering valuable perspectives on peptide technologies, translation, and innovation. A defining highlight of the meeting was the strong engagement of #early-#career #researchers, who had the opportunity to present their work, interact directly with leading scientists, and participate in stimulating scientific discussions.
