✨ Learning & Constantly Growing: Stepping Back at the University Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to attend the Strategic Communications Course at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University with colleagues coming from all over the world (and across different functions) including John O'Shea (he/him/his) Reelika Kirna Fleur Koene Valentina Nanjari Chamy Eva van Ommen Tamarah Swensen Jessy Treiner Kim Vogten Nouf A. EYITEMI ADEBOWALE Nayif Alasiri Mashael Alharbi Nada Alkathiry Abdulaziz Almosa Linda Forlani Ana Gallo. Stepping onto a university campus again, sitting in classrooms, and engaging in thought-provoking discussions reminded me of the joy of learning. The spark when new ideas brim up and you can’t wait to take them back to your work was exciting! Thanks to Prof. Dr. Ansgar Zerfass Julia Huhn Christoph Lautenbach Henning Stegmayer for making the course so interactive and engaging and special thanks to Merve Eser Tokdemir for making the logistics smooth with her communications. What made this course truly impactful was how it shifted my mindset from being operational to a more strategic one. Not all communication activities are strategic, and this program provided me with tools to analyze, align, and manage communications in line with business goals. A few key reflections: 🎯 Strategic thinking matters: Communication is not just about content creation but truly about creating real business impact. 🤖 AI is changing the game: In a world where ChatGPT and other tools make content production faster, the real question is: how do we ensure we enble our people to stat strategic within communications 🏛 The role of communicators is continuously evolving towards being a driver of organizational strategy. If you know me, you know that constant learning and upskilling have always been big motivators for me, and this course was another step in my journey of continuous growth. It’s exciting to return to work with fresh perspectives, actionable tools, and renewed energy to elevate the way we think about communications.
