A product image shows what a garment looks like. Virtual try-on shows what a garment looks like on a person. That distinction matters more than it sounds. A flat product image answers one question: what is this? A virtual try-on answers the question that actually drives purchase decisions: will this work for me? The gap between those two questions is where most fashion e-commerce conversions are lost. The shopper sees the product. They like it. They just cannot fully picture it on their body. That uncertainty is enough to make them pause. And most of the time, the pause becomes an exit. Accurate visualization changes the dynamic. When the rendering is realistic, when the drape, the fit, and the proportion are true to how the garment will actually look, the shopper gets the answer they need before they order. That is what closes the gap between interest and purchase.
