Around 150 students, alumni, and guests gathered for #SMUYPHSL's annual Ian Taylor International Moots celebration event over the weekend. Speeches by dean Pey Woan Lee and guest of honour Jeffrey Chan SC—a member of Singapore's first Jessup team—were followed by a video recap of the season thus far and a video tribute by the students for their coaches. A surprise quiz on SMU IM lore and history was held at the end of the event. Austin Seah won, walking away with a Sony 1" bridge camera. The prize winners of the International Moots electives this season are: * Joe Grimberg Best Student in IM1: Rachel Pary and Krystal Tan * Joe Grimberg Top Advocate in IM2: Natasha Lim Shu En (林淑恩) and Zavier Wu (吴翔宇） * Providence Law Asia LLC's Rising Advocate: Daniel Sum and Sum Wai To * Providence Law Asia LLC's Spirit of Mooting: James Liu and Joshua Tan * Chen Siyuan Best Researcher: Natasha Lim Shu En (林淑恩) and Owen Phua Zavier joins Wen Yee Chang and Genieve Wu (胡芷仪) as the only mooters who have won both Joe Grimberg awards, while Natasha is the first to win both awards for top advocacy and top research. Highlights of this season include: * Successful defence of our SLAM world championship * 8th ICC world championship final * 3rd Unjust Enrichment championship final * Regional championships in Price and Stetson * Regional championship final in Lachs * Best oralist prizes in Red Cross, PAX, Inter-American, FDI, Jessup * Best side prizes in SAM, Air Our mooters will be competing in 7 more competitions before this season ends.
