Congratulations to Lothar Tzscheetzsch for 63 years at Smurfit Westrock! 👏 Before the Berlin Wall fell, before the digital age, and before modern manufacturing as we know it, Lothar Tzscheetzsch was already on the job at Smurfit Westrock (then Jefferson Smurfit Group). Lothar started as a teenage apprentice in 1960s Germany, and while he "officially retired" some years after his 50th anniversary, the transition didn’t quite take and today he still works part-time as an electrician at Smurfit Westrock Herzberger Wellpappe GmbH. "I appreciated having more time with my wife, but I wanted to remain active. It’s important to have a meaningful task and feel needed,” says Lothar. His advice to others that are looking to work? “Take your work seriously, but at the same time, don't lose your sense of fun. Be open, ask questions, treat each other with respect, and don't be quick to judge.” Lothar’s story is part of our story. Cheers to 63 years, Lothar 👏 Read more here: https://okt.to/V47GOP
