An investment in aluminium flat products is rarely only a question of the right material. More often, everything comes down to economics and, therefore, which production route can truly scale. Our #Nexcast® technology addresses exactly this point. It combines continuous casting with the ability to cover demanding #aluminium alloys across a broad product portfolio. This makes it possible to design the concept as a compact minimill line, including routes using either primary aluminium or recycled feedstock. With our customer Golden Aluminum, we demonstrated how this plays out in real operations. At the Fort Lupton site, the customer replaced a block caster with a Nexcast® strip caster and drove the restart through implementation, so production resumed four weeks after installation began. In the first month, the line reached full load, including continuous casting campaigns of up to 60 hours and reliable on the fly alloy changes. Read the success story here: https://lnkd.in/eMHpripw
