Dear Vice-President Kaja Kallas, Your visit to Pakistan on June 1st sent an important signal. Europe is ready to move from aid to partnership — from words to action on skills, digital transformation and economic development. But signals are not infrastructure. Europe faces critical shortages in engineering, healthcare, ICT and green energy. Pakistan has over 50 million young people, 170+ universities and one of the fastest-growing digital talent pipelines in the world. The match is obvious. The mechanism is not yet in place. At SMRT.BIO, we have already built it — a GDPR-compliant, AI-enabled platform connecting talent ecosystems to economic opportunity, deployed across public universities in Pakistan in partnership with the Punjab Higher Education Commission, and active in Europe. Global Gateway, InvestEU, the Skills Agenda — the instruments exist. What is missing is the will to move at the speed the moment demands.
