Momentum is building on the 6-inch fab construction! The project has achieved several important milestones towards becoming operational in 2027: ✅ The foundation is complete ✅ The concrete floor has been poured across the entire building footprint ✅ Construction of the walls is well underway with more visible progress each day Led by TNO, this 6-inch pilot line represents a major step forward in strengthening Europe’s photonic chip manufacturing capabilities. As both a knowledge provider and future tenant within the cleanroom facility, SMART Photonics is proud to contribute to this much needed ecosystem initiative. Curious to follow the journey?
