🙏 If your company is hiring right now, I'd like to ask you for something. Yesterday was a difficult day at GitLab. We said goodbye to a lot of people… many of whom I'm close enough to call friends. Brilliant, generous, hard-working people who are suddenly looking for what's next. So here's the ask: if you're hiring, drop your company name and your jobs page in the comments. Don't overthink it, and don't assume your roles aren't relevant… the people affected are from every part of the business. Marketing, finance, engineering, product, support, you name it. A single link could change someone's week. And to the GitLab folks reading this who are directly affected… Take the time you need first. It'll feel raw for a while, and that's okay. Sit with it. Talk to the people who love you. The job search will still be there when you're ready, and I promise the world hasn't run out of good roles for good people overnight. When you are ready… my DMs are open. If there's anyone in my network I can introduce you to, any warm intro I can make, any role I've seen that fits, I'll happily put the time in. Just shout.
