The first time, someone was always holding the rose. This time, I took everyone away. A frozen cathedral. A dark lake bed. Scorched earth. No hands. No faces. No witness. Not only does the rose survive, but it also survives without anyone left to see it. That's a step darker and more defiant than the original set.
