Last weekend, we hosted our annual Palliative Memorial Service, bringing together families, caregivers and staff for a meaningful time of remembrance and reflection. Through heartfelt caregiver sharing, a video montage of cherished moments, a staff song presentation and a remembrance observance, we reflected on the enduring impact of those we have journeyed with and celebrated the love they leave behind. One particularly meaningful activity was the 𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦, where guests penned personal messages to their loved ones before folding them into heart-shaped keepsakes — a simple yet poignant reminder that love endures beyond loss. Reflecting on the journey of grief and healing, Josephine Koh, Assistant Director of Nursing (Outpatient Services) and Head of St Luke’s Community Wound Centre, shared, “Grief does not ask us to move on, but to gently move forward and keep living.
