Last weekend, we hosted our annual Palliative Memorial Service, bringing together families, caregivers and staff for a meaningful time of remembrance and reflection. Through heartfelt caregiver sharing, a video montage of cherished moments, a staff song presentation and a remembrance observance, we reflected on the enduring impact of those we have journeyed with and celebrated the love they leave behind. One particularly meaningful activity was the ๐˜Œ๐˜น๐˜ฑ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜“๐˜ฐ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜™๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฃ๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ค๐˜ฆ, where guests penned personal messages to their loved ones before folding them into heart-shaped keepsakes โ€” a simple yet poignant reminder that love endures beyond loss. Reflecting on the journey of grief and healing, Josephine Koh, Assistant Director of Nursing (Outpatient Services) and Head of St Lukeโ€™s Community Wound Centre, shared, โ€œGrief does not ask us to move on, but to gently move forward and keep living. The most beautiful way we can honour our loved ones is by caring for ourselves, because we are part of the legacy they spent a lifetime building.โ€ As a community of care, we remain committed to supporting caregivers and families beyond the end-of-life journey, offering comfort, connection and hope as they navigate life after loss. #Grief #MemorialService #PalliativeCare #CommunityCare #ServingLovingHealing
