These kids thought they were making a news report… then Nathan Collins walked in the room. Students from Scoil Bhríde National School in Leixlip recently visited the Sky Up Academy in Ireland, where they learned how to create their own news report and share messages of support for the Republic of Ireland Men’s National Team ahead of their upcoming fixtures. As part of the experience, they were surprised by a special visit from the Irish captain, and former Scoil Bhríde student — Nathan Collins, who dropped in to see them in action and meet the next generation of storytellers. Moments like this are what Sky Up Academy is all about — giving young people the opportunity to build skills, grow in confidence and explore careers in media, while connecting them with real role models from the worlds of sport and entertainment, alongside the Football Association of Ireland.
