V průběhu výstavby, během provozu každé nové budovy i v našich kancelářích Skanska nakupujeme záruky obnovitelné energie tak, aby bylo 100 % spotřeby elektřiny pokryto. Ale co to v praxi skutečně znamená? 🌱 Na trhu se dnes běžně pracuje s tzv. zárukami původu (off-site). Jde o certifikáty, které potvrzují, že určité množství energie bylo vyrobeno z obnovitelných zdrojů. Záruky původu jsou legitimním nástrojem, ale je nutné k nim přistupovat s vědomím, že na prvním místě stojí snižování energetické spotřeby, efektivní design a on-site zdroje – tedy například fotovoltaické panely na střeše. Až poté přicházejí na řadu záruky původu. Ideálním mixem je tedy kombinace záruk původu s maximálním zapojením on-site zdrojů, tedy výroby obnovitelné elektřiny přímo na místě. ♻️ Ve Skanska přistupujeme k energii z obnovitelných zdrojů transparentně a s vědomím těchto limitů. But what does that actually mean in practice? 🌱 Today, the market commonly uses so-called Guarantees of Origin (off-site). These certificates verify that a certain amount of electricity has been generated from renewable energy sources. Guarantees of Origin are a legitimate tool, but they should be used with the understanding that the priority is to reduce energy consumption through efficient design and on-site renewable energy sources – such as rooftop solar panels. Only then should Guarantees of Origin be used to complement these efforts. The ideal approach is therefore to combine Guarantees of Origin with the maximum possible use of on-site generation, meaning renewable electricity produced directly where it is consumed. ♻️ At Skanska, we take a transparent approach to renewable electricity and openly acknowledge these limitations.
