Helping Swedish companies become more attractive to international professionals | Employerability I Diversity & Inclusion | Inclusive workplace culture

Midsummer is around the corner, calendars are slowly filling with “after the summer” notes, and that lovely pre-holiday feeling is starting to sneak in. But before we head into strawberries, sill, out-of-office replies and hopefully a bit of sunshine, we have just wrapped up another inspiring conversation connected to Move To Gothenburg’s upcoming e-learning for small and medium-sized enterprises in West Sweden. As part of that work, we have just wrapped up another inspiring interview with Sheeba Alakkal from International House Gothenburg about their work in receiving international professionals, helping them settle into life in Sweden, and supporting companies in their efforts to retain international talent. And to be honest, these interviews are becoming one of my favourite parts of the process. Because behind every “international recruitment” conversation, there is always something more human. 💡 A manager who took a chance. 💡 A team that learned to communicate differently. 🔦 A company that realised that international competence is not only about filling a role, it is about growing as an organisation. So yes, this is a little cliffhanger. After the summer break, we will launch the e-learning and I cannot wait to share more. Until then, I would love to hear from you! Are you an SME in West Sweden already working actively with international competence and international talent? Have you learned something valuable, made mistakes, changed your process or found a way that really works? I would love to get in touch and have a chat! :) A special shout-out to Colin Chen for the amazing work behind the camera, capturing these conversations with such care and calm energy.
