We just unveiled the world's largest meerkat at Düsseldorf Airport 🐾✈️ Standing 8 metres tall, weighing over 2,000 kg and holding a #BMW key, the giant installation has already excited many passengers – making them pause for a moment, smile, and reach for their phones. The meerkat spans two terminal levels simultaneously. Arriving passengers encounter it on its iconic orange SIXT podium right after baggage claim. Departing travellers spot its head peering over the glass balustrade from the floor above. The tagline says it all: "Feel free to look around. You'll end up at SIXT anyway." 🟠 With ~21 million passengers passing through Düsseldorf Airport annually, we wanted to create something that earns its place. Not just an ad – a landmark. Much like our beloved giraffe "Sixtilia", who became an iconic fixture at the same airport from 2004 to 2019.
