Climate investments are currently single-digit share of global investment. At the  Climate Week Zurich Partner Kick-off, Tomas Kindler made it clear what this means. Global climate finance exceeded USD 2 trillion in 2024. This is real progress. But to stay on a net-zero pathway, we need around USD 7 trillion annually by 2030. This leaves a gap of USD 5 trillion every year. The challenge is not only to grow climate finance, but to redirect investments at scale. Capital markets play a central role in this shift. As a partner of #ClimateWeekZurich, we are committed to contributing to this effort by enabling sustainable financing instruments, providing transparent ESG data and benchmarks, and investing in infrastructure that supports credible carbon markets. Closing the gap will require collaboration across the ecosystem to make a lasting impact.
