In 2017, the Royal Institute of British Architects elevated about 30 architects worldwide to its highest grade. Only one of them was Nigerian: Lanre Towry-Coker. From helping shape Abuja’s master plan to winning the commission for the World Bank Headquarters in Abuja and pioneering sustainability long before it became mainstream, his impact on Nigeria’s built environment is undeniable. Now in his 80s, he still leads the firm he founded in 1976. A powerful reminder that true excellence is not just about achievement, it’s about consistency, contribution, and longevity. We salute Architect Lanre Towry-Coker. I’ve been Folajomi. See you on the next one. #Architecture #Leadership #Legacy
