End users and industry are at the heart of the new European battery initiative #OLiMPUS. Uniting leading research and industry partners across Europe’s battery value chain, including end users like Volvo Trucks, Corvus Energy, Magna International, and one of Europe’s leading cell manufacturers, Verkor, the project will ensure solutions that address real market needs and accelerate uptake across transport sectors. Coordinated by SINTEF, the EU-funded project will develop cost-effective, safe and sustainable LMFP||graphite lithium-ion cells, based on European materials and production. The cathode material will be supplied by Integrals Power, while the anode graphite will be delivered by Norwegian Vianode, produced using low-emission materials and processes. By combining cutting-edge research with pilot production and industrial integration, the project will bring scalable battery solutions closer to deployment in both road and maritime transport. 👉 Read more: https://lnkd.in/eEjAQ8-n 𝘗𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰: 𝘚𝘩𝘶𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘤𝘬/𝘙𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 Ingeborg Kaus Université catholique de Louvain, Solvionic, National Institute for R&D of Isotopic and Molecular Technologies, CEA, Politecnico di Torino, Uppsala University, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), German Aerospace Center (DLR), EurUP #Batteries #EnergyTransition #SustainableMobility #EUProjects #Innovation 👉
