Yesterday, through the Deutschlandstiftung Integration, I had the chance to talk about my master’s thesis on Labeler Bias. In the past few years, I’ve spoken about this topic in different formats, but last night was the best so far. Why? The day I decided to change my thesis topic was very emotional for me. It came after a racist experience that motivated me to do research in this area. I’m happy that I was able to share my thoughts on AI and my research experiences with the next generation of students. My thanks go not only to the participants of last night’s event, who made it so special, but also to Luke Haliburton, PhD, Sven Mayer, Robin W., and Albrecht Schmidt, whom I met at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München as supporters and friends. A big thank you also to Daniel Onumbu, who, as an alumnus, helped build the connection between Netlight and the Deutschlandstiftung Integration. Let’s keep researching, stay critical, and share our knowledge. So that the world of tomorrow becomes a better one! ❤️ #LabelerBias #AI #EthicsInAI #Diversity #Inclusion #DeutschlandstiftungIntegration #LMU #Netlight #ResearchForChange #StayCritical #KnowledgeSharing #RepresentationMatters
