True healthcare innovation goes beyond the processes and technology - it is about reimagining and elevating the patient experience. Our newly opened SingHealth MRI Centre embodies this philosophy, combining deeply human-centred designs with advanced diagnostic imaging technologies that prioritise the comfort and experience of our patients. Opened in partnership with United Imaging Healthcare (UIH), the Centre employs three new MRI machines that are integrated with advanced Al tech that cuts scan times by up to 25% without compromising diagnostic quality, reducing the time patients need to spend inside the machine. Two of the three machines feature the ultra-wide 75cm bore - the industry's largest MRI bore to date - improving patient comfort, reducing anxiety through the larger space, accommodating a broader range of body sizes and allows greater flexibility in patient positioning required for different types of scans. The MRI rooms are equipped with dynamic wall and ceiling ambience systems that allow soothing visual themes of nature scapes to be projected, creating a warm and calming environment that further reduce anxiety and bring comfort to patients. The new Centre will add 18,000 additional MRI slots annually for #SingHealth, addressing the rising demand for MRI services and increasing accessibility to this key diagnostic tool.
