When a patient arrives at our doors facing one of the most uncertain moments of their life, what they need most is to feel that they are not alone, and that the people caring for them are truly working together. That is exactly what one of our patients experienced on his journey with us. From Singapore General Hospital to the National Cancer Centre Singapore, urologists, oncologists and haematologists worked together as one #SingHealth team. Months of careful, coordinated treatment culminated in a successful surgery earlier this year. We are deeply moved by Gerard Suren Saverimuthu's generosity in sharing his story, and by the trust he placed in us during such a vulnerable time. Stories like his remind us that what we do every day is more than clinical care. It is about showing up for someone when they need it most.
