Growing older should not mean withdrawing from everyday life. Yet for many seniors, conditions that are rarely openly discussed can gradually affect confidence, independence, and social participation over time. These were some of the experiences that led SUSS CET learners Ai Di Ong, IHRP-SP and Chong Keng Yuen to create TrueHugz. What started as an effort to rethink comfort and dignity for seniors has since grown into a mission to help older adults remain active and socially connected. Developed through the SUSS Venture Builder programme, TrueHugz is showcasing its venture at the Echelon Asia Summit 2026 alongside other founders from the programme.
