Can interdisciplinary perspectives shape how we build a more sustainable future? At SUSS, sustainability is not treated as an abstract idea. It is something experienced on the ground, where environmental and social realities intersect. For Jannah, Pragi and Yasirah, their service-learning journey to Bengaluru, India, brought this into focus. Through community-led initiatives, they witnessed how systems built with intention can support both environmental responsibility and human dignity. From waste transformation to inclusive community programmes, the experience revealed a key insight: meaningful change often begins with small, consistent actions, shaped by people working together. As we mark Patron’s Day, SUSS continues to equip learners to tackle real-world challenges, work across disciplines, and contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable future.
