What does it take to build an outdoor brand from Singapore — and take it to customers across 20 countries? For Maribelle Su (Bachelor of Science in Economics, Class of 2024) and Kenneth Gabriel Wong (Bachelor of Accountancy, Class of 2024) the answer began with a clear gap: high-performance outdoor gear that could be more accessible without compromising on function. Their brand, Goliath Outdoor, was born from Kenneth’s own mountaineering experience in the Himalayas and the pair’s shared belief that technical apparel should be built for genuine adventure, not just status. Since launching, Goliath has raised around S$80,000 through crowdfunding and shipped orders to customers across 20 countries. From product testing in the Himalayas to building a lean, fully online business, their journey reflects the resilience, resourcefulness and purpose that shape entrepreneurial paths beyond graduation.
