SIAC held its SIAC Bengaluru Conference 2026 on Friday, 24 April 2026 in Bengaluru, India.   The conference brought together members of the judiciary, eminent members and experts from the international arbitration community to discuss how arbitration is evolving in the digital age, including the use of AI-driven tools and the increasing complexity of technology-related disputes.   The conference featured a fireside chat with Hon’ble Chief Justice Vibhu Bakhru and V K Rajah SC, moderated by Shwetha Bidhuri, Director & Head, South Asia, SIAC, and Prof (Dr) Sudhir Krishnaswamy.   The conference began with opening remarks by Gloria Lim, CEO, SIAC, and was followed by a panel on arbitrating technology disputes under the SIAC Rules, moderated by Matthew Brown, Deputy Registrar, SIAC, with Sonal Basu, Palecanda Chinnappa, Poornima Hatti, Ramesh Kumar and Lomesh Kiran Nidumuri, FCIArb as speakers.   The programme also featured an Oxford-style debate on the motion: “This House Believes That the Use of AI in International Arbitration Will Do More Harm Than Good”, featuring Dhyan Chinnappa SA, Diya Kapur SA, Promod Nair SA, Kelvin Poon SC, Srinivasa Raghavan SA, Ayushman Dash, Vikas Mahendra, Bhavya Mohan and Sanjanthi Sajan, and the conference concluded with closing remarks by Devna Arora, Deputy Head, SIAC.   The SIAC team was also represented by Shivam Patanjali, Counsel (Team Lead) and Steffi Mary Punnose, Strategy & Development Manager (South Asia).   We thank our sponsors, Allen & Gledhill LLP, CMS INDUSLAW and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, and our supporting organisations, Arbitration Bar of India, FICL, General Counsels' Association of India, Indian Arbitration Forum and Indian Women in International Arbitration, for their support.   We are very grateful to our distinguished speakers and attendees who contributed to the success of our SIAC Bengaluru Conference 2026.
