SIAC at GAR Awards 2026 | 26 March 2026 The Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) is delighted to share that it has been awarded (as co-winners with KCAB INTERNATIONAL) the GAR Campaign for Greener Arbitrations Award for Sustainable Behaviour 2026. This recognition highlights SIAC’s efforts, through the introduction of the SIAC Rules 2025, to prescribe explicitly that tribunals may, at the first case management conference, consult with the parties on the potential adoption of environmentally sustainable procedures in the arbitration. The Campaign for Greener Arbitrations is a global initiative aimed at reducing the environmental impact of international arbitration, and lowering the carbon footprint of the arbitration community. Samuel Leong, Deputy Registrar, SIAC, attended the GAR Awards ceremony organised by Global Arbitration Review and received the award on SIAC’s behalf.
