On 21 May 2026, YSIAC organised an event in Manila, Philippines, titled “Arbitration Clauses in Corporate Contracts: Drafting, Strategy, and Enforcement”. The event began with opening addresses from Samuel Leong, Deputy Registrar, SIAC and Christopher Cruz. The discussion was moderated by Daniel S. Hofileña, Member, YSIAC Council, and featured speakers comprising Samuel Leong, Glenn Tuazon, Member, YSIAC Council, and Chrysilla Carissa Bautista. The discussion focused on arbitration clauses in the context of corporate contracts, emphasising that careful drafting, selection of arbitral institutions and seats, as well as practical enforcement considerations remain key aspects of an effective disputes management strategy.
