🏥 Celebrating Healthcare Excellence at SGH Value Day 2026 On 11th March, Singapore General Hospital reached a significant milestone as we hosted our inaugural Value Day, bringing together over 350 healthcare professionals from across the SingHealth cluster and Ministry of Health (Singapore) under the powerful theme "Better Outcomes, Built to Last." Proudly organised by the SGH Office of Value Based Healthcare, this landmark event showcased our commitment to transforming healthcare delivery through evidence-based practices. The event brought together doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, pharmacists, and administrative staff - demonstrating that sustainable healthcare transformation requires every team member's contribution. ✨ What made this event special: - Keynote presentation on Appropriate and Value-Based Care (AVBC) by MOH representatives - Panel discussion - Interactive workshops on e-PROMs and Choosing Wisely initiatives - Exhibition showcasing our Value Driven Care, Patient Blood Management, and innovative healthcare solutions 🎯 Our impact speaks volumes: Through our Value Driven Care (VDC) initiatives, 46 active projects across medical, surgical, and multidisciplinary departments generated over S$2.7M in net cost avoidance in CY2024, creating sustainable value whilst enhancing patient outcomes. Our Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) transforms care delivery across 51 clinical pathways, ensuring patient voices remain central to clinical decisions from chronic pain management to post-stroke care. Since launching Choosing Wisely in SGH, we've avoided over 8,700 unnecessary tests and referrals, saved more than S$570k in costs, and redirected >9,300 manhours to higher-value patient care.
