Nestlé and Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU) have announced a multi-year joint #research partnership focused on healthy longevity and women’s health. By 2030, 1 in 6 Singaporeans will be over 60 years old. People are living longer, but not necessarily healthier. Against this backdrop of Asia’s ageing population, this industry-academia #partnership aims to translate cutting-edge science into meaningful solutions that improve health concerns linked to ageing – such as metabolic health, mobility, and sleep. It combines Nestlé's global nutrition expertise and R&D capabilities, with NTU’s scientific expertise and world-class research infrastructure. It will also leverage anonymised data collected from the HELIOS (Health for Life in Singapore) study – a cutting-edge national population study led by NTU’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. This latest joint lab will build on the Nestlé's partnership with #Singapore of over 100 years, while developing local research capabilities. It also demonstrates how globally leading companies like Nestlé can tap into Singapore’s vibrant research ecosystem and talent pool, to advance solutions to Asia’s most pressing health challenges.
