For Alex Hourigan and Erin Sawala, fundraising for Sinai Health feels like a full circle moment. They were both born at Mount Sinai Hospital, so getting involved in efforts to support the institution is deeply meaningful to them. A few years ago, the sisters joined Future Sinai, a group of young professionals who want to make an impact on health care through philanthropy. And this year, Alex and Erin are stepping up to the challenge of serving as Co-Chairs for the group’s signature event: Discovery Brunch. Promising to be the most delicious networking event of the year, Discovery Brunch will bring together 150 like-minded young people for a memorable event where every dollar raised fuels groundbreaking research at Sinai Health. “We’ve always shared a passion for bringing events to life and using that passion to support such an important cause makes it even more rewarding,” say Alex and Erin. “The Foundation’s work is deeply impactful, and it’s inspiring to help create moments that bring people together in support of its future."
