We have returned with wonderful memories and achievements from the 35th IAMOT (International Association for Management of Technology) Conference, one of the most prestigious events in the field of technology management, hosted by Nile University. We presented our paper, “Technology Identification and Selection for Circular Economy Startups: An AHP Application based on Research and Practice Landscape,” co-authored with Prof. Tugrul Daim, Ph.D., Fulbright Scholar and PICMET Fellow, Nihan Yıldırım, and Ceren Şahin. Grateful for the collaboration on this work. A highlight of the conference was the Best Paper Award received by Öykü Şeker, Nihan Yıldırım, and Rana Talin Yavuz from Istanbul Technical University for their study on AI safety and EU AI Act compliance. Seeing an undergraduate thesis project receive such recognition at a well-established and comprehensive conference made us extremely proud. I sincerely congratulate Öykü and Talin, who have set the bar very high, as well as their advisor, Assoc. Prof. Nihan Yıldırım. It was also a great pleasure to attend the “Intellectual Property in the Age of AI Technology” panel and listen to the inspiring talk of Turkish patent and trademark attorney İzlem Şahinkaya, RTTP. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Conference Chair Prof. Tarek Khalil, Program Chairs Dr. Hebatalla KAOUD, Dr. Leon Pretorius and Dr. Tinus Pretorius, and President of IAMOT Dr. Breno Nunes for their hospitality and this outstanding event. It was a pleasure to connect with visionary participants from over 45 countries. #IAMOT #EngineeringManagement #TechnologyManagement #NileUniversity #AI #CircularEconomy #WomenInScience #IstanbulTechnicalUniversity #AbdullahGülUniversity
