Nadji Belayadi has navigated many roads around the Bay Area as a rideshare driver, but it wasn't until he joined the SilverRide platform in the summer of 2023 that he found a purpose. "With SilverRide, you're not only driving people to their doctor's appointments and surgeries, but you get to help seniors who no longer drive, as well as people needing extra mobility support. It makes you feel like a part of the community." Every driver has a favorite story, but the one Nadji shared is one of our favorites, too. He was sent to a busy FedEx store with no parking available to pick up a senior passenger who didn't have a cellphone. When he arrived, she had already wandered out, looking for him. Refusing to leave her behind, Nadji parked three blocks away and searched the neighborhood on foot. When he spotted her with her walker, he breathed a sigh of relief. They walked back to his car together. Mission accomplished.
