December starts with a neutron beamtime at the PSI Paul Scherrer Institut with the great company of Rachel James and Andrew Cassidy. Here we grow ice at 15 K (-258C) and use neutron scattering to investigate the motion of molecules as the ice is heated ❄️🧊 While we bombard our nano-sized films of ice with neutrons, we hunt for coffee, Schnitzels and visit Swiss Christmas’s markets🎄🍬 A big thank you to the staff at the SINQ facility at PSI, especially Artur Glavic and Jochen Stahn, for helping to make our experiment a success.
