Something Sanjeev Mohan said at Signals25 has stayed with us. He described what he sees in first meetings with data prospects: internal trust is completely eroded. Data teams feel like the last to know and the first to be blamed. That is not a tooling problem. That is a structural one. It happens because nobody actually owns trust. Engineering owns pipelines. Business owns KPIs. Governance writes policies. And trust was expected to emerge naturally from all of that. It rarely does. The full session summary is on the blog. If you missed Signals25 live, the rewind is in the comments.
