Today, on 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸, we take a moment to reflect on what safety truly means in practice. For us, it goes beyond rules on paper, it lives in the everyday actions of our people. Like Denice Hoogendoorn.   While working on the production floor, Denice noticed something wasn’t right. She didn’t ignore it, she took ownership. She spoke up, involved her colleagues, escalated the issue to team leads, and stayed engaged until the work was safely stopped. As Denice says: “For me, this is just part of my job. If something isn’t safe, you speak up and make sure it gets solved.”   But she didn’t stop there. Denice dug deeper into the root cause and helped drive a structural solution, ensuring that safety is even better embedded, now and in the future.   At Sif, we use the slogan 𝙎𝙚𝙚 𝙞𝙩. 𝙎𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙩. 𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙩. But it is more than a slogan, it’s a shared mindset. Taking responsibility, speaking up, acting decisively, and ensuring issues are truly resolved.
