Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Henk Jumelet, Member of the Dutch House of Representatives for the CDA, to Sif for a first-hand look at the offshore wind industry. Standing next to our foundations and experiencing the size, complexity and industrial capability behind our visitors left a strong impression.   As Henk holds the important role of Clean Industrial Deal Rapporteur, the visit offered a valuable opportunity to discuss the upcoming Industrial Accelerator Act. This legislation will affect strategic industries such as offshore wind, where strong lead markets will be essential.   At Sif, we use significant volumes of steel. In the near future, that steel will increasingly need to be green steel. To reduce the CO₂ footprint of offshore wind, including foundations, targeted requirements in tenders will be crucial.    The Dutch offshore supply chain is ready to deliver Europe’s ambitions in a sustainable way: The Industrial Accelerator Act needs to be ambitious in order to retain industrial knowledge, strengthen innovation, and contribute to Europe’s energy independence.    Thank you for visiting us! ⚡🌍 Maritime & Offshore NL
